Sewer Camera Inspection In Gilbert, AZ

In the old days, finding a plumbing leak in your Gilbert, Chandler or Phoenix home was hard work. It took a lot of trial and error to finally pin down the source of the leak. Today, plumbers use advanced sewer video camera and locating equipment to track down the leak in a fraction of the time without the guess work.

What Is A Sewer Video Inspection?

A sewer video inspection is an inspection performed by a professional plumber like No Worries Rooter to view your main or branch sewer lines. These lines lead from the house to the municipal sewer line on the street.

When would I need  sewer camera inspection?

If you are planning to add a bathroom, remodel your kitchen or any other type of major renovation around water lines, it might be a good idea to have a video inspection. The reason for this is you will want to make sure that the sewer lines can handle the increased needs.

Typically most homeowners call in a sewer line video inspection only if there is a problem. Typical problems include blockage that cannot be fixed by plunging, liquid drain cleaners, or sewer and drain auguring.

Can I perform a sewer camera inspection myself?

We would not recommend it. Equipment typically purchased by homeowners lacks the length to properly perform the inspection. Typically the inspection scopes are too short to inspect more than the first few feet. Not only that, these scopes probably are not auto-focusing or self-righting. A proper video inspection is something you should leave to the professionals.

How do you find the blockage at the ground-level?

The sewer camera unit has a transmitter. Once we have located the blockage point, we will stop the camera. We then go to the ground level with a locating device until we pick up the transmission signal. From here, we mark the location of the camera giving us the exact point of blockage. Typically this is spray painted on with an X. We can then dig up and fix the problem with minimal disruption.
